STILL ASPIRING ON PURPOSE.

Aspiring YA author. Founder of Aspiring Writers United — 160,000+ writers strong. Making the writing struggle a little less lonely, and a lot funnier.

THE GUY BEHIND
THE GROUP

Alexander Pennington in motocross gear, leaning on a trailer next to his orange dirt bike in the woods

actual author. actual bike. zero studio headshots.

Alexander Pennington writes YA fiction and runs Aspiring Writers United, a community of 160,000+ writers trading advice, edits, and the occasional shared meltdown over a stubborn plot hole.

What started as one writer venting online turned into a full publishing-coaching practice — helping other aspiring authors get unstuck, get edited, and get published.

He's still writing his own books between all of it, because the struggle never actually ends — it just gets funnier to talk about.

WORK WITH ME

Three ways to make the struggle shorter. None of them involve suffering alone.

1:1 Coaching

Publishing guidance, manuscript feedback, and someone to hold you accountable when "I'll write tomorrow" hits its third consecutive week.

Manuscript Feedback

An honest editing pass from someone who's read a lot of first drafts and lived to tell about it. Yours is probably better than you think. Probably.

Speaking & Podcasts

Community building, growing an audience from zero, and why 160,000 writers voluntarily hang out in one group. Happy to talk about any of it.
